  • 6 Oreo cookies
  • 12 Hershey’s chocolate kisses
  • 1/2 batch cream cheese frosting
  • Green and orange food coloring
  • White and orange sprinkles

Instructions of Witch Hat Cupcakes

Prepare the Frosting

  • After making the cream cheese frosting, separate ½ cup into a separate bowl.
  • Color the larger portion green and the smaller portion orange.

Make the Witches’ Hats

  • Gently split the Oreos in half.
  • Place a very small spoonful of orange frosting in the center of the top of each Oreo half.
  • Place a Hershey’s kiss on top and press down gently. Add some sprinkles. Set aside.

Assemble the Cupcakes

  • Pipe the green frosting into the center of each cupcake (avoid going all the way to the edges) and wind it gently upward to form a layered swirl.
  • Place an Oreo witches’ hat on top of each cupcake.
  • Refrigerate cupcakes (covered) until ready to serve.

How to Serve

Serve chilled or at room temperature for a festive Halloween treat. Perfect for parties, classroom events, or a fun holiday dessert.

How to Store

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days. Assemble the witches’ hats just before serving to maintain their shape.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use gentle pressure when placing the chocolate kiss on the Oreo to avoid breaking the cookie.
  • Pipe the frosting slowly to create neat layers.
  • Kids can help add sprinkles for a fun hands-on activity.

Recipe Variations

  • Use chocolate or vanilla cupcakes instead of just chocolate.
  • Substitute candy eyes or other Halloween sprinkles for a creative twist.
  • Make mini cupcakes for bite-sized witch hats.
