Supreme Pizza Pasta

A delicious fusion of classic pizza flavors and hearty pasta, featuring savory sausage, zesty pepperoni, and a creamy Mornay cheese sauce.

  • 13.5 oz. gemelli pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup onion (diced)
  • 1/2 cup pepper (diced)
  • 3 links Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni (diced)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pizza and Pasta Magic
  • Pepperoni slices (for topping)
  • Panko breadcrumbs (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the gemelli pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add diced onions and peppers, sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Crumble Italian sausage into the skillet, cook over medium heat until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Whisk in 1/4 cup flour to form a roux. Gradually add 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Mix in mozzarella cheese, salt, and Pizza and Pasta Magic until melted.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, sautéed vegetables, browned sausage, pepperoni, tomato sauce, and Mornay sauce. Mix until evenly coated.
  6. Spoon the mixture into containers, top with pepperoni slices and Panko breadcrumbs.

Notes

Great for meal prep; can be stored and reheated easily.
