Delicious Pizza Rolls

A delightful fusion of flavors and textures, pizza rolls are a beloved snack that encapsulates traditional pizza in convenient, gooey bites.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 1 Tbsp dried yeast
  • 1½ Tbsp sugar
  • 3 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 3⅔ cups plain flour (550g)
  • 6 Tbsp pizza sauce
  • 30g shaved ham, chopped
  • 100g mozzarella, grated

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of milk and ½ cup of warm water. Add 1 Tbsp dried yeast and 1½ Tbsp sugar, stir thoroughly, and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add 3 tsp vegetable oil, 1½ tsp salt, and 3⅔ cups plain flour to the yeast mixture. Mix with a stand mixer for 2–3 minutes, then knead by hand for up to 5 minutes.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C. Divide the dough into 6 portions, shape into rolls, and let them prove for 45 minutes. Slit the tops, fill with 1 Tbsp pizza sauce, chopped ham, and mozzarella, then bake for 20 minutes.

Notes

Store leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can be frozen for up to 3 months as well.
