Ham Pizza

A savory and sweet ham pizza, featuring a rich blend of mozzarella, prosciutto, and a golden crust, perfect for any pizza lover.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 package Rapid Rise Yeast (¼ oz)
  • ⅔ cup warm water (120-130°F)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for brushing
  • ¼½ cup pizza sauce (such as marinara)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
  • 34 oz prosciutto, torn into pieces
  • ½1 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • ½1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Balsamic glaze (or hot honey), fresh basil, and red pepper flakes for finishing touch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare your baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms. Form it into a ball.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 4 minutes until smooth. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough to fit your baking sheet. Stretch it as necessary for an even base.
  5. Spread pizza sauce on the crust. Layer with mozzarella, prosciutto, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and seasoning.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and add fresh basil and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover pizza wrapped in foil or plastic wrap in an airtight container. Reheat in the oven for best results.
